Solvent inks for surface printing and packaging from American Inks & Technology

American Inks & Technology offers two primary types of solvent ink systems for surface print packaging applications. In addition to the two primary types of solvent-based ink systems, we also custom match, formulate, and provide R&D services to create or enhance your unique application. Whatever you need for your inks, the team at American Inks & Technology is here to help.

Although we offer many different product lines for each solvent ink system, the two primary binders utilized in the formulations are nitrocellulose (promotes good adhesion and gloss with excellent heat resistance) and polyamide (Promotes excellent adhesion and gloss with minimal heat resistance). We have worked with customers in a variety of industries to provide them with the best solvent inks available, and we guarantee that we can do the same for your applications.

Substrates that our solvent-based product lines perform well on, and can be formulated specifically for, include:

  • Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP)
  • Cast Polypropylene (CPP)
  • Polyester (treated or coated)
  • Nylon
  • Cellophane
  • Polyethylene (LLDPE/HDPE)
